Kreativitas dan inovasi tiada henti merupakan kata kata semangat yang ada dipikiran seorang Danrem 044/Gapo Kolonel.Inf.Sonny Septiono dalam upaya pemadaman api dan asap yang merupakan dampak dari Karhutla.Ide cemerlang ini tercetus dari pemikiran Danrem 044/Gapo Kolonel.Inf.Sonny Septiono pada saat diskusi jumat yang lalu dengan Kepala Koordinator Restorasi Gambut Daerah Prov Sumsel bapak Edi Junaidi,Danrem mengundang para pimpinan instansi yang terkait dalam upaya pemadaman api dan asap yang disebabkan oleh karhutla.diantarnya Kepala dinas Pekerjaan umum bagian pengairan,Kadis Kehutanan dan Perkebunan,kementerian Lingkungan Hidup,Polda,Lanud dan BPBD prov Sumsel.
Bertempat di rungan Posko Karhutla Makorem 044/Gapo,pada Senin (23/9/2019) Danrem 044/Gapo,didampingi Kalaksa BPBD prov Sumsel bapak Iriansyah memimpin rapat yang berkaitan dengan upaya penanggulangan pemadaman api dan asap dampak dari karhutla.Dari hasil pembicaraan terdahulu dengan kepala koordinator Tim Restorasi Gambut Daerah Prov Sumsel,,Edi Junaidi bahwa dalam upaya pemadaman lahan gambut yang terkena dampak kebakaran memerlukan air dengan jumlah yang sangat banyak dengan estimasi lahan gambut seluas 1Ha dengan ketebalan 3 s/d 6 meter kebawah permukaan tanah memerlukan air ,kurang lebih 500 Ton air.Kebutuhan ini hanya akan terpenuhi dengan adanya air yang bersumber dari sekat-sekat kanal atau air dari sumur bor yang akan dibuat ini nantinya. Sumur bor ini akn digali dengan bor dengan kedalaman 40 m oleh tehnisinya 2 personil dari Tim TRG,setelah menemukan air akan disedot dengan menggunakan mesin dan menyalurkan air ke sumber api serta pembasahan lahan gambut,agar api padam dan tidak merambat lagi. 1(Satu) sumur bor akan mampu membasahi areal gambut seluas 4 Ha.Segala sesuatu yang berkaitan taktis dan tehnis mulai dari penentuan posisi sumur bor yang direncanakan,sumber api yang mau dipadamkan,posisi angin yang berkaitan dengan rambatan api dan asap,jalan pendekat menuju lokasi sumur bor serta hal tehnis terkecil sekalipun semuanya terkupas habis dalam pembicaraan tadi. Berbagai sumbang saran dan hal hal penting banyak didapatkan dari instansi instansi yang terkait.
Untuk mempercepatnya realisasi dari penanggulangan karhutla ini,maka kegiatan untuk pembuatan sumur bor ini akan dilaksanakan besok hari dengan mengambil titik api yang sedang menyala besar saat ini di daerah Pedamaran Kab OKI.
Diakhir rapat Danrem 044/Gapo berharap kepada seluruh instansi yang terkait agar mendukung upaya ini dengan serius,dan kita mendoakan agar upaya kita ini berhasil dan dapat memadamkan api dan asap yang ada di lahan gambut,tandasnya.
