Halosumsel-
Dinas Perhubungan Kota Palembang mendapat kewenangan penuh untuk menindak kendaraan yang parkir di Jalan Merdeka, tanpa terkecuali kendaraan milik pegawai Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD). Untuk mengatasi parkir di Jalan Merdeka, Pemerintah Kota Palembang telah menyiapkan kantong parkir di Jalan Bari dan Jalan Sekanak.
Kewenangan Dishub ini dituangkan melalui surat nomor 551/000126/V/2018 yang ditandatangani Sekda Kota Palembang Drs H Harobin Mustofa. Dishub mendapat kewenangan untuk menertibkan dan memberikan sanksi tilang dan penguncian roda kendaraan.
Pada rapat membahas penertiban parkir di sekitar Jalan Merdeka, Asisten I Setda Kota Palembang K Sulaiman Amin mengajak seluruh pegawai OPD untuk parkir di kantong parkir yang disediakan. Menurutnya, penertiban parkir tersebut bertujuan untuk memberikan kenyamanan dan keutamaan bagi masyarakat yang hendak berurusan di tiap OPD.
Pada rapat membahas penertiban parkir di sekitar Jalan Merdeka, Asisten | Setda Kota Palembang K Sulaiman Amin mengajak seluruh pegawai OPD untuk parkir di kantong parkir yang disediakan. Menurutnya, penertiban parkirtersebut bertujuan untuk memberikan kenyamanan dan keutamaan bagi masyarakat yang hendak berurusan di tiap OPD.
. “Parkir halaman di kantor OPD sepanjang Jalan Merdeka diperuntukan bagi Kepala Dinas dan pejabat eselon yang ditentukan sesuai surat edaran, serta untiktamu yang akan berurusan. Penertiban parkir ini juga untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang nyaman dan rapi dalam mendukung perhelatan Asian Games 2018,” ujarnya.
Ditambahkannya, Pemkot Palembang akan melakukan evaluasi pelaksanaan perparkiran tersebut. Sebagai upaya memudahkan mereka yang parkir di kantong parkir, pada rapat tersebut diusulkan penggunaan shuttle bus dari kantong parkir menuju OPD dan sebaliknya. Diusulkan pula penataan pedestrian dan fasilitas penunjang kenyamanan bagi para pejalan kaki.
